This Feedback Digest is based on 10 feedback forms from 10 mediation cases since October 2017. Ms Shanti Abraham has mediated in a broad range of civil cases including commercial contracts, healthcare, construction, private wealth, inheritance, banking, insurance and capital markets. She actively conducts mediations at Singapore Mediation Centre, Malaysian Mediation Centre, Securities Industries Dispute Resolution Centre and Small Claims Tribunal (Singapore Subordinate Court). Ms Shanti has been on SMC Panel of Associate Mediators since 2011. She is also an active panel mediator at Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC), Master Builders Association Malaysia (MBAM), International Dispute Resolution & Risk Management Institute (HK) and Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution (AIADR). In addition, Ms Shanti devotes her free time conducting mediation training workshops. In view of her contributions to SMC, she was presented with the SMC Appreciation Award in 2015 and 2017. Ms Shanti is very empathetic, for healthcare dispute cases she was able to manage the emotions of parties well. Ms Shanti’s knowledge in law is helpful in the settlement process. She establishes rapport and trust with parties and in medical treatment cases help parties to understand the technical issues involved. Due to her excellent service, Ms Shanti received high ratings in mediation skills and ability (4 to 5, out of a 5-point performance rating scale). All parties were also keen in engaging her again and to recommend her to others (10 out of 10).
