Pasit Asawawattanaporn – Thailand and the Singapore Convention
Managing Director of Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC)
Pasit Asawawattanaporn is the Managing Director of Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC). In 2003, he served as a judge in various courts and a secretary to the Central Bankruptcy court where he presided over one of the biggest reorganization cases in Thailand. Thereafter, Pasit became a government official and managed various offices in MOJ, including Deputy Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation. He later became the Deputy Permanent Secretary to Ministry of Justice in 2014 and served as Director-General to Office of Justice Affairs in 2015.
Despite his extensive legal portfolio, Pasit is still an avid learner. After reading law in Thammasat University, he went on to pursue his LLM from the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard Law School, Barrister-at-Law from New York State. He also holds a Certificate for Advance Management Program from Wharton Business School. Pasit completed his PhD from the Mahidol University in 2017.
As the Managing Director at THAC, a lecturer and speaker in various law schools in Thailand, Pasit remains heavily committed to the legal industry in Thailand.
