Latest Update 22 March 2021
Ram Narain Dubey is an appointed Community Mediator as well as a State Courts Appointed Volunteer Mediator. He qualified for his mediation journey through Community Mediation Centre (CMC) as well as Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC). He is also a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Registered Clinical Supervisor with the Singapore Association of Counselling (SAC) and a Certified Addiction Therapist (APCB). Prior to embarking in Mediation and Counselling Ram was a senior banking and financial technology professional with forty years of experience in the field. During mediation he brings across all his diverse knowledge and experience in helping resolve both community and commercial disputes. This Feedback Digest is based on 10 feedbacks from 20 mediations that he did at the Community Mediation Centre since 2018. 90% of his mediations ended with written settlements and parties were very satisfied with his mediation skills and expressed willingness to use his services again. He was found to have built good rapport with parties as well as helped parties to explore and develop options for a mediated settlement. Ram is known to apply his knowledge and skills to sense the atmosphere between the parties and he endeavours to create a relaxed environment for the mediation. He is known to facilitate, asks questions to gain an understanding of both the facts of the case and of parties’ underlying interests and motivations. He does this with empathy and consideration and in a respectful manner. He maintains a safe and relatively calm atmosphere with confidence and communicative body language. By using a combination of negotiation, problem-solving and communication skills he enables parties to identify and acknowledge their core issues in dispute so that they can take ownership and resolve them with a workable solution.
